Tip 1 - Watch your calories
As a quick guide, lunch should provide around 30 per cent of total daily nutrient and energy requirements; so for a woman eating between 1,500 to 2,000 calories a day, this is between 450 and 600 calories
Tip 2 - Balance your diet
Try to make sure your lunch provides at least two portions of vegetables and/or fruit
Tip 3 - Don’t forget to have a drink
One of the reasons people often have problems concentrating and feel sleepy in the afternoon is because they haven’t had a drink of water at lunch time.
